How To Become A Growth Provoker

Yesterday I listened to the biography of a newly elected leader of a worldwide religious organization based in the United States. Like many biographies , this leader’s resume was impressive and inspirational . He was noted as a servant leader , loving family man , innovative business pioneer and growth provoker . I must admit the last descriptor pricked my conscious and spured me into deep reflection. I instantly fell in love with the concept of being a growth provoker.

To provoke is to stimulate or to stir up . Growth is the process of increasing and expanding a given thing. Put simply , to be a growth provoker is to be a leader that encourages and actualizes continual increase in a multifaceted way. How can you and I become growth provokers ?

  1. See the growth potential of an area .
  2. Strategize holistic methods for facilitating growth .
  3. Select co-provokers that will commit to the strategic vision for growth.
  4. Survey the fruit of that growth .
  5. Spread the seeds of the growth to new fertile soil .

This five step process is not intended to be the “perfect model” for becoming a growth provoker but it will get you started on a life-long journey of seeing healthy growth in every area of your life.
